At Pam Johnston Photography, we specialize in multigenerational photo sessions…sessions where we sometimes have a 94-year difference between the oldest and the youngest family member (my favorite thing ever!). We understand that it can bring certain stresses, challenging schedule coordination, and then the dreaded question: “What do we wear?” Enter my Family Session Prep Guide to the rescue!
Selecting outfits for your family’s photographs is a bit like home decorating. You choose a base color, and then add in a few other coordinating colors that blend well with your choice of a base color. When done correctly with photography, the resulting image will be seamless colorwise, with no one color standing out from the others. This can be a daunting task, especially when gathering for a multi-generation photo of multiple families…talk about a logistical challenge! But, it can be done with just a little planning, AND, I’m here to help!
So then, if you need a little guidance, read on! And if you have specific questions, I am always happy to weigh in! After all, you are going to print your images in a large format and hang them on the walls of your home, right?? (That’s a whole other subject…see my blog post on the importance of printing images here: https://pamjohnstonphotography.com/the-digital-gap-why-printing-your-images-is-important/ ).
