Avery + Cassie | Vintage Car Engagement | Huron, Ohio

Have you ever heard a photographer say that they “catch up” on things during their “off season?” That is exactly what I am doing with this blog post: going back to a not-so-recent engagement session with Cassie and Avery, featuring an awesome vintage Chevy truck! (See, I couldn’t let THAT go unblogged, right?) (hmmm, not sure if “unblogged” is a word?)

That’s right, the engagement session featured not only their contagious love, but a vintage 1967 Chevy truck, which was also featured during their subsequent wedding! (Yep, I know this is kinda backwards, guys, so bear with me!)

When Cassie asked about including the vintage truck, owned by Avery’s uncle, in their session, the search was on for the perfect location…one where we could drive into a field, but prevent any damage to the vehicle. After a few scouting outings, Cassie found the perfect place, I checked it out, and the session was on!

Anyone who lives in Ohio knows that Mother Nature can be quite fickle, sometimes serving up three seasons in ONE day! However, on this session day, Mother Nature gifted us a beautiful sky, filled with clouds and a ending with a gorgeous sunset!

The first part of the session simply featured Cassie and Avery among the tall fall grasses. Later, as the sun began to descend, Avery started up the truck (which my husband loved!) which ended up being the perfect prop! We ended the session with the Chevy’s lights on, backed by gorgeous golden hour skies. I think you’ll love the results as much as I do!

So, yes, to all my future PJP couples, don’t be shy about wanting to customize YOUR session with something that represents YOU! I’m all in!
